The Line: Tomas Berdych -250 / Gilles Simon +210 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

TV: ESPN

Tomas Berdych and Gilles Simon meet Monday in the fourth round of the 2015 Wimbledon.

Tomas Berdych is coming off a four set win over Pablo Andujar, which finished in two and a half hours. Berdych has played 11 sets this tournament and over seven hours of tennis. Berdych is winning at least 78 percent of his first serve points and 56 percent of his second serve points. Berdych has combined for 27 aces and 98 winners in his last two matches. Berdych is doing a good job of hitting his spots and limiting his mistakes, as he has just 57 unforced errors in his first three matches. Berdych is always a threat with his power serve, and he’s even tougher to beat when he’s not beating himself. Berdych has lost in the fourth round of a grand slam twice since 2013. Berdych is looking for his third quarterfinal appearance at the Wimbledon.

USA TODAY Sports

Gilles Simon is coming off a five set, three hour win over Gael Monfils. Simon has played 12 sets this tournament and seven and a half hours of tennis. Simon is winning at least 63 percent of his first serve points and 50 percent of his second serve points. Simon has combined for nine aces and 70 winners in his last two matches. Simon could improve on his 54 unforced errors in his last two matches, but overall, he’s done a fine job of remaining resilient and playing smart tennis. Simon could have easily lost his last match many times, but he dug deep and found a way. Simon has made the quarterfinals of a grand slam just once, which was the 2009 Australian Open. This is Simon’s second fourth round appearance in the Wimbledon.

These two have played 10 times in the past, and Simon has won six of those matches. The most recent meeting was in this year’s Rotterdam Open, a match Berdych won in straight sets. Three of the last five meetings have gone the distance. This will be the first time these two play on grass.

Berdych seems like he’s always a hit or miss in grand slams, and you never know what to fully expect. Simon played a very solid game in his last match and should enter this extremely confident. When you add the history between these two and their current form, I actually like Simon for the upset.
