Andy Murray vs. Roger Federer 2015 Wimbledon Tennis Pick, Odds, Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Roger Federer is coming off a straight sets win over Gilles Simon, which lasted just an hour and a half. Federer has dropped just one set this tournament and has played three hours of tennis his last two matches. Federer is winning at least 79 percent of his first serve points and 60 percent of his second serve points. Federer has combined for 18 aces and 74 winners in his last two matches. Federer continues to hit his spots and has finished every match rather quickly, making him fresh for another run at a grand slam title. Federer has 34 combined unforced errors in his last two matches. Federer has lost in the semifinals of a grand slam three times since 2013. Federer looks to reach his ninth career Wimbledon final.

These two have played 23 times in the past, and Federer edges the series with 12 wins to 11. The most recent match was in last year’s ATP World Tour Finals, a match Federer won in straight easy sets. In fact, Federer has won four of the last five meetings, and Murray’s last victory came in the 2013 Australian Open. This will be the third time they play on grass, and each has won one of the previous meetings.

Anytime you get plus money with Federer, you almost feel like you have to take it, right? Federer has not only played cleaner tennis, but he has far more success on this court and has kind of owned Murray in their most recent matches. I’ll gladly take Fed at this price.
