Milos Raonic and Andrej Martin meet in the third round of the 2016 French Open.

Milos Raonic is coming off a straight sets win over Adrian Mannarino that was decided in 27 games. In the victory, Raonic won 76 percent of his first serve points and 71 percent of his second serve points. Raonic has won both of his matches rather easily due to a high percentage service game that puts a ton of pressure on his opponent. Raonic has racked up 74 winners this tournament and is coming off a match in which he had just 17 unforced errors. Raonic came into this tournament with some nice momentum, and it’s clearly carrying over, as he’s now reached the third round of a grand slam for the 10th straight time. Raonic has reached the fourth round of grand slam in five of his last seven appearances.

Milos Raonic vs. Andrej Martin 2016 French Open Pick, Odds, Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Andrej Martin is coming off a straight sets win over Lucas Pouille that took 30 games to decide. In the victory, Martin won 66 percent of his first serve points and 56 percent of his second serve points. Martin has been the cinderella of the tournament so far, and he’s coming off a convincing victory over a top-30 player in which not many gave him a chance. Martin has gotten at least 66 percent of his first serves in play, and he’s racked up 78 winners in his first two matches. Another upset here would certainly put Martin on the map and it would be by far the biggest of his career. This is Martin’s first career third round appearance in a grand slam.

These two have met once in the past, which was in the 2011 Australian Open, a match Raonic won in straight sets. The match was decided in 31 games. This will obviously be the first match on clay court.

You have to give Martin credit for what he’s done up to this point but upsetting Raonic is a little different than pulling a fast one by Pouille. Raonic’s shotmaking and service game are the differences here. Martin just won’t be able to keep up.

Look for the Canadian to advance to the fourth round.
