TV:

Kei Nishikori and Richard Gasquet square off in the fourth round of the 2016 French Open.

Kei Nishikori is coming off a five set win over Fernando Verdasco that took 46 games to decide. In the victory, Nishikori won 66 percent of his first serve points and 44 percent of his second serve points. Nishikori had a ridiculous 46 unforced errors in the five setter and really struggled with his second serve. Nishikori definitely had to work longer than he wanted, especially after winning the first two sets of the match. Still, Nishikori is able to make the shots when it matters most, and he’s racked up 60 winners in his last two matches. Nishikori hopes to reach the quarterfinals of a grand slam for the fifth time in seven appearances. Nishikori can make back to back quarterfinal appearances in the French Open.

Kei Nishikori vs. Richard Gasquet 2016 French Open Pick, Odds, Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Richard Gasquet is coming off a straight sets win over Nick Kyrgios that took 29 games to decide. In the victory, Gasquet won 75 percent of his first serve points and 56 percent of his second serve points. Gasquet has yet to drop a set this tournament and is winning no less than 69 percent of his first serve points. Gasquet has also had no more than 23 unforced errors, as he’s feeling it right now and looks as confident as he has in quite some time. When Gasquet is hitting the ball like he is, he’s a dark horse in any tournament. Gasquet hopes to reach the quarterfinals in his third straight grand slam appearance. Gasquet has never made the quarters of the French Open.

These two have played eight times in the past and Gasquet leads the series, 6-2. However, Nishikori has won the last two meetings, including the most recent match in this year's Rome Masters. Seven of the eight matches between these two have been decided in straight sets. This will be the third time these two meet on clay.

Nishikori has the athleticism and shot making of his own to counter Gasquet. He’s also won the last two matches and is 2-0 against him on clay.

In what should be a fun match that includes a lot of winners, I have Nishikori advancing to the quarters.
