Murray is finishing his points quickly, dominating his service game and continues to get better the longer the match goes. Murray is in a great space right now, as he looks sharper and more consistent than ever. Murray hasn’t lost in the first round of a grand slam since the 2008 Australian Open. Murray has won 15 of his last 16 matches on grass.

Andy Murray vs. Liam Broady 2016 Wimbledon Pick, Odds, Prediction

Liam Broady enters this tournament losing five of his last six matches and continuing to drop like a rock in the standings. Broady has forced three sets in each of his last five matches, so it’s not like he’s getting beat down, but he can’t make the shots when needed to produce victories. Broady’s only recent success was making the semifinals at the Taipei Challenger before losing to runner-up Konstantin Kravchuk. Broady would love to get back on track with a ridiculous upset here, but he must get off to a fast start and create some sort of confidence to have any chance. Broady has made it to the second round of a grand slam once, which was last years Wimbledon. Broady has lost five of his last six matches on grass.

This will be the first time these two meet on the tennis court.

In Broady’s current form, him winning six games against a red hot Murray would be considered a success. An upset here is nonexistent. Murray is possibly the hottest tennis player in the world right now and has his eyes on a grand slam title. Broady will lose this match in three painless sets.

Murray eases his way to the second round.
