the Line -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga square off in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Wimbledon.

Andy Murray is coming off a straight sets win over Nick Kyrgios that took over an hour and a half. In the victory, Murray won 41 of 49 of his first serve points and racked up 36 winners and six unforced errors. Murray has yet to drop a set this tournament and has now won nine straight matches overall. I keep saying that Murray is playing some of the best tennis of his career at the moment, and he continues to take his game to another level. With the way Murray is playing, he’s the clear favorite to be hoisting the trophy at the end of this tournament. Murray looks for his seventh grand slam semifinal since the 2014 season. Murray has won 20 of his last 22 matches on grass.

Andy Murray vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 2016 Wimbledon Quarterfinals Pick, Odds, Prediction

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is coming off a victory over Richard Gasquet in which he was forced to retire in the first set. Tsonga needed to play just six games in the match, so he has a nice rest advantage heading into this match. Tsonga needed a quick match after such a grueling match in the third round against John Isner, so he’s in luck heading into the quarters. Tsonga has been really hitting the ball well, as he’s won no less than 81 percent of his first serve points and has produced 100 winners in his last six sets. Tsonga hopes to make his third grand slam semifinal since the 2013 season. Tsonga has won 10 of his last 13 matches on grass.

These two have played 15 times in the past and Murray has won 12 of those matches. The most recent match was in the 2015 Canadian Masters, a match Murray won in straight sets. Murray has beaten Tsonga in three straight meetings. This will be the sixth match on grass.

Tsonga is no pushover and could force this thing to go the distance if he comes out firing. However, nobody is playing better tennis than Murray right now. There’s also a huge head to head advantage favoring Murray.

Murray wins.
