Harrison vs. Isner
The Line -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
John Isner and Ryan Harrison meet Wednesday in the round of 32 at the 2016 Rogers Cup.
John Isner is coming off a three set win over Dudi Sela and hopes to keep things rolling. Isner has shown signs of picking up his consistency and has won six of his last nine matches. Of course, Isner continues to be so dominant with his service game but has also been more aggressive with his returns and managed to break Sela a couple of times in the second set. If Isner can go on an impressive streak, he’ll soon become a top-10 player again and have a shot to win his first title since 2015. Isner has won seven of his last 10 matches on hard court.

Ryan Harrison is coming off a straight sets win over Andrey Kuznetsov where he lost just four games. Harrison has won seven of his last nine matches when you include qualifying, as he’s trying to get back on track after falling way out of the top-100. Harrison has had a couple of frustrating years, as he was a top-50 player back in 2012 but hasn’t come close to sustaining success. However, Harrison looked very sharp against the Russian and was able to push Steve Johnson to two competitive sets in Washington. Harrison still has a lot to prove, but these past couple of weeks have been positive for the 24-year-old American. Harrison has won six of his last seven matches on hard court.
These two have played six times in the past and Isner has won six of those meetings. The most recent match was in Newport in 2013, a match Isner won in straight sets. Harrison’s only win over Isner came in Sydney in 2013.
Isner managed to own Harrison many years ago when neither player was in their current state. Harrison was a quality player back in 2012 and 2013, while Isner wasn't nearly as polished as he is now. This match should be rather easily for Isner.
Give me Isner in straight sets, as that serve is too lethal at the moment.
