Kei Nishikori and Novak Djokovic square off in the final of the 2016 Rogers Cup.

Kei Nishikori is coming off a straight sets win over Stan Wawrinka that took 20 games to decide. Nishikori is coming off his best performance in quite some time and looked sharp throughout the whole thing, which includes winning the second set 6-1. Nishikori is hitting his shots with confidence and continues to spray winners across the court. In this form, Nishikori is capable of beating anybody and looks for his second title this season. Nishikori has eight victories over top-10 players since 2015. Nishikori hopes to win his 12th career title and is 9-4 in his career on hard court final appearances. Nishikori has won 13 of his last 15 matches on hard court.

USA TODAY Sports

Novak Djokovic is coming off a straight sets win over Gael Monfils that took 16 games to decide. Djokovic has yet to drop a set this tournament and is coming off his best performance yet. There’s really not much more you can say about Djokovic that hasn’t been said before, as he continues to play at an elite level offensively and defensively. Even against above-average competition, Djokovic is going to have to throw in some sloppy play in order for his opponent to have a real shot at an upset. Djokovic has won 11 of his last 12 final appearances. Djokovic looks to win his 66th career title and is 49-15 in his career on hard court final appearances. Djokovic has won 18 straight matches on hard court.

These two have played 11 times in the past and Djokovic has won nine of those meetings. The most recent match was in this year's Rome Masters, a match Djokovic won in three sets. Djokovic has beaten Nishikori in eight straight meetings and his last loss came in the 2014 US Open.

Nishikori is scary in this form and has shown he has the ability to beat the best player in the world. However, I’ve said time and time again, betting against Djokovic isn’t a great idea. He’s too good and in too good of form.

Give me Djokovic to win yet another title.
