The Oklahoma City Thunder play host to the Golden State Warriors at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday night.
The Golden State Warriors haven’t been at their best as they’ve lost eight of their past 12 games, but they will be gunning for a third straight win after taking down the red-hot Nuggets in a 116-107 home win on Monday. Stephen Curry drained 10 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 53 points on 14 of 24 shooting, Draymond Green added 18 points with seven rebounds and seven assists while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 48 percent from the field and 18 of 44 from the 3-point line as they trailed at halftime, before taking over the game with 43 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 18 points before having to hold off the Nuggets late.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in terrible form lately as they’ve lost 10 of their past 11 games and they will be hoping to put an end to a seven-game slide after falling short to the Jazz in a 106-96 road loss last night. Luguentz Dort led the team with a career-high 42 points on 16 of 31 shooting but he just didn’t have much support as no one else scored in double figures except for Ty Jerome who had 14 points and Moses Brown who scored 12 points. As a team, the Thunder shot just 38 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they poured in 31 points in the first quarter to take an early 17-point lead, before getting outscored by 66-38 in the second and third quarters combined as the Jazz were unstoppable once they turned it on.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 0-5 ATS in their last five road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six Wednesday games. The Thunder are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the under is 20-6 in the last 26 meetings overall, the Warriors are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall and the Warriors are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Warriors are starting to heat up now and they would’ve taken so much confidence from their hard-fought win over the red-hot Nuggets on Monday. The injury toll is proving too much for the Thunder to overcome as each of their last seven games have resulted in double-digit losses. The Warriors are 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall and I think that trend continues here as the Warriors should cruise in this one.
