Milwaukee Panthers Betting Preview
The Panthers have three games in the bag so far this year, with mixed results. The first outing came last Monday versus Hampton at home. In that one Milwaukee opened on a 49-36 first half. The Panthers were outscored 50-41 the rest of the way but held on for the win 90-86 in the end. Leading the team in scoring during the tight home victory was Seth Hubbard with 23 points and five boards. Faizon Fields added 16 points with nine rebounds as well, and Stevie Elam had 16 points with six rebounds. In game two versus Wofford over the weekend, the Panthers kicked things off with a 47-33 road deficit. Milwaukee got better in the second half on a 43-39 run but lost in the end 86-76. Tops in scoring was Hubbard with 17 points, and Elam added 12 points with four rebounds. Josh Dixon had 11 points and three boards while Danilo Jovanovich had 10 points with five boards in 28 minutes of action during the defeat.
In Monday’s match with Little Rock, Milwaukee held a slim three-point edge going into the second half. The Panthers hit a 51-34 run from there however, and cruised to the win 92-72 in the end. Amar Augillard led the team on 25 points with three rebounds and three assists while Seth Hubbard added 18 points with four assists. Esyah Pippa-White managed 13 points with two rebounds in 23 minutes during the winning effort as well.
Indiana Hoosiers Betting Preview
Over on the Indiana side, they took on Alabama A&M at home in their first action of the season on Wednesday. The Hoosiers posted a 58-22 run in the first half, then scored 40 more points from there in a 98-51 blowout victory. Tops in scoring was Reed Bailey with 21 points and five rebounds, while Lamar Wilkerson added 19 points with two boards and two assists. Tucker DeVries chipped in a double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in the winning effort.
The Hoosiers’ second game of the year came on Sunday versus Marquette. Indiana jumped out to a 56-38 lead after one half and closed with a 44-39 advantage for a 100-77 road win in the end. Tucker DeVries had 27 points with five rebounds and two assists this time, and Lamar Wilkerson added 23 points with eight assists and three rebounds. Indiana vs Milwaukee Prediction
I’ll stick with the Hoosiers. Indiana has a couple of solid outings under their collective belt so far this season and should match up well in this one. In their road win over Marquette this past weekend, the Hoosiers posted a nice 50 percent shooting from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range (14-of-28) and 83.3 percent from the line (20-of-24). It’s worth noting that Indiana did get outmuscled on the boards 34-30 and in the paint 36-32, though. Still, it was an overall impressive offensive effort featuring just seven turnovers in a 23-point victory on the road.
As for Milwaukee, they played well against Little Rock on Monday. The Panthers shot 53.6 percent from the field with a 28-23 rebounding edge but did get outscored in the paint 36-32. Matching up with the Hoosiers is going to be a completely different proposition but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Milwaukee hang around for a while.
