USA TODAY Sports
Cesar Cuenca enters this fight with a 48-1-2 record that includes two knockouts. Cuenca has won five of his last six fights and is coming off a November loss to Eduard Troyanovsky. Cuenca has quick hands and is a very accurate puncher who is able to sneak in and get out with ease. Cuenca is simply a workhorse who throws a ton of punches and has won 11 straight fights by unanimous decision or knockout. Cuenca is the type of fighter you don’t want to let get on a roll, as he will get very aggressive and make it tough for his opponent. The concern with Cuenca is that he has 51 fights under his belt but just two knockouts, so the punching power clearly isn’t there. This will be Cuenca’s first fight in Moscow.
Troyanovsky has already beaten Cuenca once, and he’ll have little trouble doing it again. Troyanovsky has all the power in the world, and Cuenca is just an accurate puncher with no power. This is a mismatch in the highest form. You don’t expect a different result than last time.
Troyanovsky remains undefeated.
