Argumedo has never been knocked out in his career and has also never lost a fight by unanimous decision. Tecuala is just a tough nosed fighter who has yet to clearly be outboxed in 124 rounds. Argumedo has fought almost his whole career in Mexico, his home country.

Julio Mendoza enters this fight with a 11-4 record that includes three knockouts. Mendoza has won four of his last five fights and is coming off a April win over Omar Ortiz. Mendoza turned pro back in 2012 and has been making his way up the ranks quickly, as this will already be his third fight in 2016. Due to a career that’s still somewhat new, Mendoza hasn’t had the toughest resume yet with his toughest fights coming against Byron Rojas and Robert Barrera. From limited film, Mendoza has shown decent head movement, is really active and has some pop behind his punches despite just a 20 percent knockout percentage. This will be Mendoza’s first time fighting outside his home of Nicaragua.
Mendoza is in over his head here, as Argumedo has the experience advantage, the crowd advantage and is simply the better overall boxer. Argumedo throws harder punches and is the smarter boxer who should be able to school Mendoza who is still a baby at just 23 years old.
Argumedo probably wins this bout by knockout.
