Andy “the destroyer” Ruiz will be in action this weekend as the former WBO heavyweight champion takes on Devin Vargas in California. Both these fighters are in the heavyweight class meaning that we should be able to see some powerful, hard-hitting boxing.
Devin Vargas had a very impressive career as an amateur boxer having got a bronze medal in the Pan American Games in 2003. His professional career has not been as impressive with Vargas getting injured on many occasions. This will be a chance for the American to change things since a win over a fighter like Ruiz should give him tons of confidence and belief heading forward. That being said, this will not be an easy fight since he is up against a fighter that has only lost once before.

Andy Ruiz lost his perfect record in his last fight and that loss cost him his title. This weekend he will look to return to winning ways and build towards another title. It is important to note that Andy Ruiz has been out of the ring for some time and this fight will be more like a comeback than anything else. The former champion last fought in 2016 and it will be interesting to see how he has established himself following his break. This fight will be only 8 rounds which should play in the hands of Ruiz who prefers an aggressive game.
Taking everything into consideration, I think that Ruiz will win this fight. Andy Ruiz is a much better fighter and this fight has been set up for him to win. It is a shorter fight and the fans will be behind him so I am going to back him to win. We are getting a good enough price to bet on Andy Ruiz to win so that is the wager which I am going to suggest.
