The Wisconsin Badgers face a stiff road challenge aganst the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday.
Wisconsin has crushed both UMass and Tennessee Tech by a combined 93-0 and OI get the feeling that both could have been far worse as the Badgers showed some restraint. The only thing that went wrong for Wisky in a 48-0 rout of Tennessee Tech was a missed extra point as the defense held the visitors to a scant 113 yards and just over 22 minutes of possession while the offense rolled up 606 yards. Wisky did what they wanted, when they wanted any where on the field with James White, Corey Clement and Melvin Gordon each rushing for more then 100 yards. Joel Stave (244-28/219) had a near perfect day through the air with three touchdowns and a pick in a game that makes me wonder why the Golden Eagles even scheduled it.

We know about as much about Arizona State as we did before their 55-0 shellacking of Sacramento State. The visitors probably will think twice before scheduling ASU again in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball. The Sun Devils did what was expected in all phases as they held CSUS to 167 yards and only six first downs while recovering two fumbles and picking off a pair of throws. The Sun Devils ate up the real estate to the tune of 523 yards with most of it coming through the air with Taylor Kelly shedding the visitors secondary for 300 yards and five touchdowns with nine players recording receptions. The back ups got a chance at some playing time in the 4th with Arizona taking their foot off the gas pedal in a contest that could have been much worse.
This will be the first real game for either team with neither being tested at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Badgers win but I think Arizona State is waiting to pounce in this one...
