The Oregon State Beavers and Utah Utes collide at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Saturday night action.
I am still trying to figure out Oregon State after they opened 2013 with a loss to Eastern Washington and looked vanilla in a 33-14 victory over visiting Hawaii. The defense was the star of this game by holding the Warriors to only 239 yards while recording a pick six and a safety. The Beavers did amass over 500 yards but averaged less than two yards per rush on 33 tries against what appears to be an improved UH defense. This was all about the right arm of Sean Mannion and he didn't disappoint with 372 yards on 31-42 with four touchdowns and an interception with Storm Woods and Brandin Cooks combining for 187 yards on seven receptions apiece.

Many times we see a college team have a let down after a big game and Utah was in that position after knocking off Utah State to open the season. However, a let down against Weber State wasn't about to happen and didn't as reflected by the 70-6 final. Not much to say except this was a game that probably didn't need to be played with the Utes having obvious advantages in all phases of the game. The Wildcats mustered just over 200 yards and 13 first downs and lost a pair of fumbles. On the Utah side of the ledger we see a whopping 628 yards with equal anbility to run or throw. Travis Wilson completed 14-19 for 264 yards and three touchdowns while Lucky Radley rushed for 111 yards to lead a Utes ground game that totaled 338 yards and averaged nearly nine yards per carry.
I was leaning Utah here or the over because I think there will be some scoring. I am not sure of Oregon State who hasn't played a complete game yet and that scares me a bit. For now I'll sit on the Utes...
