The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns face the Akron Zips on the road in week four.
Louisiana-Lafayette boke in to the win column for the first time although it came against a sub division squad. The Ragin' Cajuns dismantled Nicholls State 70-7 in week three and probably could have scored a 100 if they chose. This was over quickly with ULL leading 35-7 after 30 minutes with an eye popping 620 yards of offense. To their credit the offense kept things mostly on the ground to keep the clock running but 456 rushing yards and over eight yard average is better than many passing attacks. Elijah McGuire led the way with 137 yards while three others combined for 213 yards. Terrance Broadway (10-13/149) enjoyed a short but efficient day in the air whil the defense allowed 305 yards and forced five turnovers.

I thought Michigan would blow away Akron at home but instead survived a last second incomplete pass in the end zone to hold off the Zips 28-24. Let me say that I was rooting for a touchdown and the upset and secondly I wish Michigan and their over hyped athletes luck because they will need it after that pathetic performance. The numbers say this was as close as the scoreboard indicated with Akron dominating the Wolverines secondary through the air with Kyle Pohl throwing for 311 yards with two touchdowns and a pair of picks with his final throw out of the reach of his receiver in the last play of the game. LT Smith and Zach D'Orazio combined for eleven catches and 223 yards in an unexpected free for all through the air while the defense held Michigan to 28 points which says it all.
I feel for the kids of Akron and I wonder about their mental state after coming so close to knocking off the top 15 Wolverines. That alone has me thinking ket down and points me towards the Ragin' Cajuns...
