The Bowling Green Falcons host the Akron Zips at Doyt L. Perry Stadium in a MAC matchup.
Akron's claim to fame might actually be their 28-24 defeat at Michigan when a pass into the end zone fell incomplete on the final play of the game. That was a once in a lifetime disappointment against a college football giant, but to their credit there was no letdown, despite a 35-30 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in week four. Both teams totaled around 450 yards with pass heavy attacks. Jawon Chisholm and Conor Hundley gave the Zips viable options on the ground with a combined 94 yards on 21 carries but Akron didn't run the ball much. Kyle Pohl (27-43/321) had some moments in the air with three touchdowns but was hurt by a pair of picks.

I know that Northern Illinois gets the majority of the attention in the MAC, but I believe Bowling Green is every bit as good and shouldn't be overlooked. The 3-1 Falcons were drubbed by Indiana, but I think they can beat the Hoosiers. In any case, BGSU rebounded to pound Murray State 48-7 behind dominant play on both sides of the ball and a 660-312 edge in yardage. The Falcons moved the chains in any manner they wished, with Travis Greene leading the way on the ground with 133 yards on 17 touches, while the team pounded out 282 yards and averaged just under seven yards. Matt Johnson enjoyed a near perfect day in the air with a 19-22 effort producing 244 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception with eleven players making receptions.
The way Akron has been playing makes laying points very tough to do. Having said that, I will go with the Falcons, who play well on both sides of the ball in a game where I think the home team has the best chance at the cover...
