The Fresno State Bulldogs make the long trip to Aloha Stadium to take the field with the Hawaii Warriors.
After squeezing by Boise State for the first time in what seems like forever, the talk has begun revolving around the Bulldogs running the table. The offense certainly has the firepower but I'm still undecided about the defensive side of the football. It was all about scoring in a 41-40 win over the Broncos with both combining for almost 1,100 yards and 59 yards. The difference is BSU did some running and passing while the Bulldogs were strictly passing which turned out to be a great option with David Carr having a career night. Carr completed 39-60 for 460 yards with four touchdowns with Isaiah Burse and Davante Adams combining for 258 yards on 22 receptions.

Even though Hawaii has come out of the blocks at 0-3, I think the the defense has played better then in prior years although the offense has struggled mightily. UH has been out scored 31-12 on average and has generated just 282 yards which is near the bottom of the college ranks. The Warriors nearly landed on these numbers in a 31-9 loss at Nevada wherethe visitors led in yardage 376-340 but were killed with a whopping six turnovers. The rushing attack averaged less then four yards per carry with Hawaii using four quarterbacks who combined for 243 yards which might have made a difference if not for the miscues.
This might be a tough spot for the Bulldogs with one of the toughest road trips in the game for a team that is primed for a let down. I read that the quarterback spot is banged up for the Warriors but that needs to verified before hitting submit but this isn't a game I'm interested in...
