The Miami Hurricanes and the South Florida Bulls face off on Saturday afternoon.
South Florida had the week off after losing their first three games of the year. The Bulls lost at home to McNeese St and Florida Atlantic while also losing at Michigan St in week two. The South Florida offense is not great to say the least as they have only scored 31 points in three games. The three quarterbacks that have played so far this season, combined for 405 passing yards with 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. QB Bobby Eveld has thrown for 205 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. RB Marcus Shaw is the lone bright spot on the South Florida offense, rushing for 398 yards and 1 touchdown so far this season. RB Andre Davis is the best receiver with 9 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Bulls defense has allowed 53, 21, and 28 points in their three losses. South Florida surrendered 424 total yards to McNeese State to open up the year and 298 total yards to FAU two weeks ago. The Bulls rush defense is awful, allowing 180, 171, and 130 rushing yards in their first three losses. This does not bode well for South Florida this weekend as the Hurricanes have a great rushing attack.

The Miami Hurricanes are coming off a 77-7 win over Savannah State and are now a perfect 3-0 on the season. Miami destroyed Florida Atlantic in their season opener and then had a big win over Florida in week two at home. QB Stephen Morris has thrown for 404 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions so far this year. The Miami rushing attack has produced 677 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns so far this year. Star RB Duke Johnson has carried the ball 48 times for 304 yards with 3 touchdowns this year. Johnson has also caught 3 passes for 50 yards, while RB Gus Edwards is also solid coming out of the backfield with 18 carries for 132 yards with 3 touchdowns. WR Allen Hurns is the best receiver so far this season with 11 catches for 194 yards and 1 touchdown, while WR Clive Walford has 7 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. The Hurricanes defense is much improved from a year ago, holding their first three opponents to 6, 16, and 7 points. In the Florida game, Miami surrendered 413 total yards but were able to force 5 turnovers in the win. The Miami defense won’t be tested much in their first road game of the year, as South Florida hasn’t shown any type of potential offensively this year.
Miami is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win. The road team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. The under is 4-0 in South Florida’s last 4 games following a bye week.
Miami has won the last two meetings between these two teams, including a 40-9 win at home last season. Miami will be able to run the ball all day long against a weak South Florida front seven. The Hurricanes will control the clock and score at will, while South Florida won’t be able to do much offensively. The Hurricanes win and cover three touchdowns in the first half.
