Romney Stadium and the Utah State Aggies host the Brigham Young Cougars Friday.
After looking flat against Utah in week five Brigham Young stormed to a 37-10 victory over Middle Tennessee State. After spotting the Blue Raiders a 10-7 lead the Cougars went on a 30-0 run behind a bruising rushing attack and stiffling defense. BYU led the battle for real estate 486-212 behind Taysom Hill who effectively ran and threw when ever needed. Hill led the team with 165 yards on the ground while Algernon Brown and Michael Alisa combined for another 123 yards. Hill has struggled through the air but not this time with a solid 14-19 effort for 177 yards and a pick which was over kill with the Blue Raiders managing a mere 13 first downs.

Heading in to their match up at San Jose State, the Aggies new they couldn't fall to 2-3 and that turned out to be a non worry with Utah State rolling to a 40-12 rout. The ability to dominate on both sides of the ball was obvious with Chuckie Keeton guiding a near flawless attack that produced 520 yards, 32 first downs and over 36 minutes of possession. Keeton threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns while spreading the ball around to nine players. Keeton also added 52 yards with his legs with Joey DeMartino leading the way on the ground with a 17 carry, 120 yard performance. The Spartans did have some success moving the ball with 417 yards but were obviously hurt with three picks and a botched snap inside the five.
I like the Aggies ability to do every thing well so I am leaning their way. I simply have no idea what to expect from BYU so for now I'll back the home team watch the line and hope it drops...
