The Massachusetts Minutemen invade Doyt L. Perry Stadium to face the Bowling Green Falcons.
Massachusetts and their move to the FBS hasn't been a smooth one with the offense having issues finding a way to score while opponents have lit up the scoreboard. This season looks much like 2012 with a 24-7 loss to Vanderbilt droping them to 0-4. I don't think the Commodores pressed the issue all that much and still managed a 406-248 yardage advantage with some balance. UMass totaled less then 100 yards on the ground and averaged just over three yards per tote which made the task of moving the chains fall to the passing of AJ Doyle who was very effective in the short passing game where he completed 20-28 for only 133 yards and the lone touchdown.

Any one that has seen Bowling Green play knows this team might be flying under the radar in the MAC except to opposing conference squads who know this might be a championship team. The Falcons aren't perfect as we saw versus Indiana and in week five's 31-14 victory over Akron where they trailed 14-10 heading in to the locker room. The Falcons held the Zips to 296 yards to make life as easy as possible for the offensive side of the ball which wasable to run and throw. Travis Greene rambled for 142 yards on 24 carries with a trip to the endzone while Matt Johnson over came pressure to throw for 229 yards with a pair of scores and no picks while owning the ball for over 36 minutes.
Big spread as expected and what I find in these type of games is teams that know they have the advantage get a lead and take it easy. If Bowling Green chooses to they will cover and if they just want to get this over with they simply win so I'll throw this out there based on potential...
