The Air Force Falcons host the San Diego State Aztecs at Falcon Stadium in week seven action.
San Diego State is looking for a big push right now and it's been so far, so good with consecutive victories following a 51-44 overtime win over Nevada. This one was a shootout in it's purest form with both teams combining for over 1,000 yards of offense. The only difference was the Wolf Pack was pass heavy and SDSU was much more balanced. Adam Muema paced the rushing attack with a 24 carry, 134 yard night with two scores while Donnel Pumphrey added another 112 yards including a 72 yard touchdown run. Quinn Kaehler was just as effective in the air with 23-32 completions for 285 yards with a pair of scoring strikes with Adam Roberts and Ezell Ruffin combining for eight receptions for 150 yards.

Air Force has been running the ball well with 285 yards per game but the points aren't coming and most important is the wins aren't either. The Falcons dropped a 28-10 decision to Navy for loss number four in a row. AFA led 10-7 after 30 minutes but fell apart on both sides of the football in the final two quarters. The Falcons ran the ball well enough with 231 yards with Broam Hart and Jon Lee Combining for 129 yards but Karson Roberts (6-14/67) and Nate Romine (1-2/15) killed the team with an interception apiece. Combined with a lost fumble and the Falcons killed themselves with mistakes which hurt a defense that played reasonably well but had their backs against the wall much too often.
I would think that San Diego State should be able to move the ball against a Falcons defense that is ranked #120 and is vulnerable through the the air and ground. I'm backing the visitors who have to find a way to control the option and a surprise pass...
