The Troy Trojans head to the Georgia Dome to take the field with the Georgia State Panthers in week seven.
I watched Troy's 34-33 victory over visiting South Alabama and it's perfectly clear this team as no defense. This unit plays well in spurts but asking for a solid 60 minutes from this unit is like asking to hit the $10 million lottery. The Trojans held a 17-7 lead at the half before the Jaguars rode a 20 point 4th 33-27 lead with 48 ticks left only to watch Corey Robinson win it with a 20 yard TD throw with seven seconds left. At the final gun USA led in yardage 620-424 in a game of big plays with Brandon Burks running for 100 yards on 17 carries but the Trojans rode their passing to 305 yards. Corey Robinson (20-26/210) threw for a pair of touchdowns while Deon Anthony (4-8/95) tossed for two more scores including a 62 yard catch and run. The play that sticks out to me is the defense gave up a 65 yard scoring pass with under a minute remaining.

Georgia State's foray in to major college football hasn't been an easy one with their 0-5 start following a 45-3 defeat at Alabama. The Panthers have struggled to score and prevent opponents from doing the same so the loss to Alabama was no surprise with the Crimson Tide have the advantage in all areas. Every thing came in to play Saturday with the Tide holding a 477-175 advantage in yardage. Georgia State was stuffed on the ground with a mere 15 yards which made them one dimensional which is never a good thing when facing Alabama. Ronnie Bell completed 11-20 for 146 yards with the lone bright spot being a 53 yard field goal from Wil Lutz for a team that wasn't expected to score.
I am going with Troy who should match up well with their passing versus a Panthers secondary that gives up a lot. The Trojans should have the advantage if their defense figures out how to play...
