The blue turf of the Boise State Broncos await the arrival of the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday.
At 3-3 with a tough schedule ahead of them Nevada might have to pull off an upset or two to assure themselves of a postseason berth. The Wolf Pack have had a few weeks off to prepare for Boise State and probably most of their attention was focused on the defensive side of the football following a 51-44 loss to San Diego State. The good news was the offense racked up almost 600 yards while the bad news was the defense gave up 541 yards. Kendall Brock led the team on the ground with 112 yards with three trips to the end zone withy Cody Fajardo adding 49 but Fajardo was much more of a factor through the air. He completed 33-51 for 393 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Brandon Wimberly and Richy Turner combining for 21 receptions for 238 yards with a TD each.

Boise State certainly isn't the National Championship challenger that we have been accustomed to seing over the years but that doesn't mean they can be ignored. Utah State found that out in a 34-23 loss to the Broncos who over came some mistakes and benefitted from no Chuckie Keaton. Boise totaled 447 yards with Jay Ajayi running for 109 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown. The Broncos did plenty of damage in the air with Joe Southwick completing 30-44 for 335 yards with a pair of touchdowns and two interceptions with Shane Williams-Rhodes leading the receiving corps with 13 receptions for 150 yards. The defense held the Aggies attack in check with only 17 points allowed with USU scoring on a pick six.
Boise State might not be as strong as we are accustomed to seeing but they won't have any problem in disposing of Nevada. The Wolf Pack might stay within shouting distance with their scoring but no shot at an upset and I said might...
