The Bowling Green Falcons and Doyt L. Perry Stadium welcome the Toledo Rockets in a MAC show down.
Toledo is in must win territory from here on out if they hope to stay in the MAC race. The Rockets have won four of five with the offense and defense generally on the same page although it was all scoring in their 45-44 overtime win over visiting Navy where the Middies lost it on a botched PAT. Toledo wasn't real sharp despite 426 yards and their front seven was ponded by the Navy option to the tune of 419 yards. Fortunately the Rockets were potent on the ground with 321 yards with a seven yard average with Doug Fluellen leading the way with 153 yards while Kareem Hunt was right on his tale with another 127 yards. The passing attack wasn't as explosive with Terrance Owens completing 11-20 for 105 yards for a TD and an interception.

Bowling Green possesses one of the best combinations of offense and defrense in the MAC which has them battling for the top spot in the East Division at 3-0. Neither were quite strong enough in a 21-20 loss to Mississippi State that dropped the Falcons to 5-2 overall. The Bulldogs had a slight edge in yardage 422-384 and owned the ground with 245 yards while BGSU leaned more on their passing. The Falcons did have some success on the ground with 160 yards and 5.5 yard average that was paced by Travis Greene with a 15 carry, 99 yard performance. Matt Johnson did move the chains by completing 20-34 for 224 yards with nine players recording receptions but neither defense were easy to find the end zone on.
Toledo is a little banged up after their epic battle with Navy and Bowling Green is coming in off of a bye. I am backing the Falcons but would check the lineups first...
