The Buffalo Bulls take their winning ways to Dix Stadium to take the field with the Kent State Golden Flashes.
Buffalo is a team that is not accustomed to a tremendous amount of success as far as the football program is concerned but their recent success might be about to change all that. The Bulls have used stifling defense and more then adequate offense to five consecutive victories following an 0-2 start. Buffalo handled Massachusetts 32-3 in week eight by holding the Minutemen to 247 yards, 13 first downs and forcing three turnovers. The offense totaled 382 yards but it was really the Brandon Oliver show as the star running back amassed 216 yards on 42 carries with a score while Joe Licata (18-27/167) threw for another touchdown and zero picks. The defense recorded a pick six and a safety and has allowed 52 points in five wins.

I think we all know this isn't the same Kent State squad we saw in 2012 with neither side of the ball putting up great numbers. I also know that some of the offensive problems can be traced back to a banged up Dri Archer who is the heart and soul of the Golden Flashes offense. Having said that, even a great performance from Archer couldn't prevent a third consecutive defeat when Kent was defeated 38-21 by South Alabama. The difference here was the Jaguars scored when the opportunity arose and KSU did not. Archer paced a solid rushing attack with 114 yards with David Fisher not far behind with 106 yards while also going 14-26 for 181 with a pair of touchdown which was a 73 yard pitch and catch to none other then Archer.
I think this game is more even then what most people think so taking the points seems like the obvious choice to me and I hope it's not too obvious...
