The Navy Midshipmen will take their option on the road to face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
I see Navy in a good position to nab a postseason berth if they can avoid a few potential pit falls. I say this because the Midshipmen have looked good in their wins but not so much in the defeats. I think the Middies 24-21 win over visiting Pittsburgh was some where in between good and bad with the defense starring while the option did just enough but then again that's what this team does. Both offenses finished with around 330 yards with Navy totaling 220 yards on the ground and averaging over 4 1/2 yards per tote. Keenan Reynolds paced the ground game with 93 yards on 21 tries including a two yard TD. Reynolds threw more then expected, going 8-18 for 105 yards and a touchdown and an interception.

When we look back on what Notre Dame has accomplished nobody can argue with their record but sometimes their games have been less then things of beauty. I can't say that about their 45-10 rout of Air Force in week nine which was victory number three in a row. The Irish dominated both sides of the ball from start to finish as they took a 24-10 lead in to the locker room and kept their foot on the gas pedal as the Falcons never challenged. When the smoke had cleared ND owned a 466-339 edge in yardage with the AFA option gaining 290 yards and still running despite being far behind. Cam McDaniel and Tarean Folston gave the Fighting Irish at least a threat on the ground with 108 yards on 21 carries but Tommy Rees was the one who moved the chains with 284 passing yards with fivce touchdowns TJ Jones and William Fuller combining for 197 receiving yards.
Notre Dame destroyed the Midshipmen a season ago and probably win again but Navy can be tough against the bigger names and I'm inclined to take a shot with the points...
