The Tulsa Golden Hurricane host the Texas San Antonio Roadrunners in week ten action.
Texas San Antonio likely needs to sweep the final four games of the regular season to go Bowling which seems like a lot to ask in my view. That means both the offense and defense would have to improve and remmain consistent which hasn't been a strength up to this point. The offense did break through with their best performance of 2013 in a 52-31 rout of Alabama-Birmingham a week ago with over 500 yards and no turnovers. UTSA rushed for nearly 250 yards and over six yard average with David Glasco leading the way with 73 yards on eleven carries with five others combining for 166 yards. Eric Soza was just as successful through the air where he completed 14-21 for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns but the defense did have some second half break downs while allowing 506 yards.

I think it's safe to say this isn't the same Tulsa squad we have been accustomed to seeing the past several years with the scoring way down. The Golden Hurricane have shown improvement the last three times out but have gone 1-2 in this stretch and probably need to sweep the remaining five games to have a shot at the postseason and the schedule isn't a cake walk. No Cody Green hurt in a 14-7 loss to Tulane with back up Dane Evans going just 13-30 for 139 yards with three crucial interceptions. The air game definitely missed out on some opportunities and a solid rushing attack wasn't enough to carry the offensive load. Ja'Terian Douglas and Trey Watts combined for 142 yards on 38 carries leading the ground attack to over 205 yards but the bottom line was no win despite giving up 301 yards on defense.
This isn't a game on the radar of many people and the respective records says why. I think the Golden Hurricane cover if Green is back and healthy but the problem is we won't know his status even if he does play so I'll assume he is 100% but I can't bet this based on guessing...
