The Bowling Green Falcons head to the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks in week eleven action.
Bowling Green had a golden opportunity to remain in the top spot in the MAC East but saw it go by the way side in a 28-25 defeat at the hands of visiting Toledo. The Falcons fell behind 21-0 only to take a 25-21 lead before the Rockets scored with just under 90 ticks to walk away with the win. BGSU lost the yardage battle 373-343 and struggled throughout to move the chains. Travis Greene paced the ground game with 96 yards on 19 carries with a pair of scores which forced Matt Johnson to the air. Johnson was solid, completing 17-26 for 208 yards but struggled to stretch the field. The game was decided in the trenches where the Rockets ran for over 240 yards and averaged nearly six yards per touch.

Miami (Ohio) has seen their season from a competitive stand point come to an end but three of their final four games come against teams challenging for the conference crown so they are in the perfect position to be a spoiler. They were in this position against Ohio but came up short in a 41-16 defeat in which the Redhawks could not recover from a 24-10 half time hole. The boxscore tells the story with the Bobcats rolling up a 535-240 advantage in yardage. While Ohio was able to both run and throw effectively, Miami (Ohio) struggled in both areas. The Redhawks needed to establish a viable rushing attack but totaled 85 yards and averaged around two yards per tote. Austin Boucher (12-25/120) also had issues connecting with his receiving corps while finishing with a touchdown and a pick.
Bowling Green obviously has plenty of ammunition on both sides of the ball to cover this big spread although home dogs during the week are tough to go against. Not my favorite play...
