The BYU Cougars head to Madison on Saturday to square off against the Wisconsin Badgers.
The Wisconsin Badgers improved their record to 6-2 on the season this past weekend as the Badgers took care of the Iowa Hawkeyes 28-9. The Badgers took awhile to get going against Iowa’s strong defense as the score was just 7-6 at the break. The Badgers opened up the third quarter with a touchdown on a 20 yards pass from Stave, and that would be all the Badgers would need as the Hawkeyes offense once again struggled to move the ball, and put points on the board effectively. Stave struggled in the pocket against the Hawkeyes, completing just 11/19 for 144 yards and two scores, while also throwing one pick, giving the Badger QB a QBR on the day of 26.7. The Badger ground game however, did find some creases in the Iowa front, picking up 218 yards on the day, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.

The BYU Cougars are sitting at 6-2 this season. BYU’s last game came against the Boise State Broncos back on October 25. The Cougars won that game against the Broncos fairly easily, defeating the Broncos 37-20. The Cougars are currently ranked 14th in the nation in rushing yards this season, averaging 258.8 yards per game. Defensively the Cougars are also playing well, allowing just over 21 points per game this season, ranking BYU 27th in the nation. Don’t expect the Cougars to be too rattled heading into Camp Randall, as BYU has faced big time opponents this season in Texas, Georgia Tech and Boise State. All those games were at home, but the Cougars are used to seeing BCS schools on the other sideline this season.
The Cougars are 5-0 overall in their last five games, and the Cougars are 4-1 overall in their last five games on the road. The Cougars have gone under the total in four of the last six games, and BYU has gone under in four of their last six games on the road. The Badgers are 4-1 overall in their last five games, and the total has gone under in six of the last nine games for Wisconsin.
