The Fresno State Bulldogs look to stay perfect when they visit the Wyoming Cowboys Saturday.
Fresno State and their drive to remain unbeaten stayed on course in a 41-23 rout of visiting Nevada. The Bulldogs took all the mystery out of this one with a 24-7 lead at the break and proved they are not an all offense squad in the process. The Bulldogs certainly didn't hurt the stats with 647 yards and 32 first downs while holding the Wolf Pack to 424 yards and 4-16 on third down. Josh Quezada gave the ground game some quality production with 17 carries producing 110 yards while Marteze Waller added 45 yards on ten totes and a touchdown. The air attack was explosive behind Derek Carr who completed 39-56 for 487 yards with three scores that saw Josh Harper haul in 17 receptions for 253 yards and two TD's.

Wyoming has had an extra week off to prepare for Saturday and I'm sure some of that time has been used to think about their 51-44 loss at the hands of San Jose State in which neither defense was able to get stops. This was a game that appeared destined for the win column with the Cowboys leading 30-14 in the third and was tied 44-44 with five minutes remaining. The Spartans got the job done through the air where David Fales threw for 487 yards and five scores while the Pokes racked up 600 yards with a mix of the run and pass. Shaun Wick enjoyed a career day on the ground with 234 yards on 17 carries with Brandon Miller adding 82 yards. Brett Smith was strong in the air by going 22-34 for 267 yards and three touchdowns and a pick including a 93 yard scoring toss to Robert Herron. The team that had the ball last won and that was the Spartans who scored with eight ticks left.
My initial reaction was Fresno State but I don't think they play a full 60 minutes so I'll be looking at the over when released because Wyoming can score and that will force the Bulldogs to keep producing...
