The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks head on the road in search of their first win versus the Kent State Golden Flashes.
Miami (Ohio) hasn't had a year for the scrapbooks because they have had trouble moving the chains and finding the end zone while opponents have not. The Redhawks rank near the bottom of most offensive categories and in the bottom quarter of most defensive categories which sums up their record. Both sides of the ball had problems in a 45-3 defeat at the hands of Bowling Green in week ten. The Redhawks mustered 228 yards and 16 first downs with Grant Niemiec representing the rushing attack with 40 yards on five tries with the team averaging less then three yards. Drew Kummer completed 9-19 for 100 yards with some early success but couldn't keep it going and needed to with the Falcons rolling up 447 yards.

A quick glance at Kent State's record tells us this is not the same team we saw last season. The slumping Golden Flashes dropped their fifth consecutive contest following a 16-7 loss at Akron. Most of the problems revolve around a struggling offense that is averaging around 18 points per contest. KSU was thought to have a very good chance of knocking off the Zips with both teams hovering around 300 yards but the difference was two lost fumbles and three interceptions. The rushing attack was productive with 162 yards and a five yard average with Trayion Durham leading the way with an 18 carry, 82 yard effort with Dri Archer adding 52 yards on seven totes. The air was not as friendly with Colin Reardon connecting on 15-31 for 138 yards and a trio of costly picks.
Well...to put it bluntly this game wreaks and is unwatchable. I'm taking Kent State because I have seen Miami (Ohio). Actually I have seen Kent State too and don't know why I'm backing them either...
