The Oregon State Beavers enter their 10th game of the season at 6-3 but they are a perfect 4-0 on the road this season. The Beavers haven’t been playing their best football of late as their schedule has just gotten tougher. Sean Mannion has completed 67.9 percent of his passes for 3,540 yards with 31 touchdowns and six interceptions. Terron Ward has rushed for 277 yards and four touchdowns and Storm Woods has rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns and he has 35 catches and a touchdown. Brandin Cooks has 91 receptions and 14 touchdowns and Richard Mullaney has 43 catches and three touchdowns. Jabral Johnson has 67 tackles, Tyrequek Zimmerman has 65 tackles, and Scott Crichton has 12.5 tackles for a loss including 4.5 sacks. The Oregon State offense is averaging 37.2 points and 474.2 yards per game while defensively they have allowed 27.8 points and 393.2 yards per game.
Arizona State is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven home games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five Pac-12 games, and 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight home games against a team with a winning road record. Oregon State is 21-9-1 against the spread in their last 31 road games, 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games following a game in which they didn’t cover the spread, and 11-3 against the spread following a double digit home loss.
We have a good home team against a good road team but it just looks to be too big of a number so it’s just a lean to the underdog Beavers here.
