Arkansas State is in the running for another Sun Belt crown but at 3-1 in the conference they trail 4-0 Louisiana-Lafayette whom dealt them their lone defeat. The bottom line is the team needs to win the final three games and hope some body can knock off the Ragin' Cajuns. The Red Wolves knocked off Louisiana-Monroe 42-14 for consecutive victories as they try to get hot at just the right time. ASU racked up nearly 500 yards with 24 first downs almost split evenly between the run and pass while holding the ball for almost 36 minutes. The rushing game totaled 259 yards with Adam Kennedy leading the way with 102 yards on 22 touches wit two scores while the duo of Michael Gordon and Sirgregory Thornton combined for 144 yards with Gordon scoring three times. Kennedy was solid through the air as well, going 16-23 for 235 yards with a TD.
I guess what we have to look at is which team do we think is better at this point and I'm looking at Arkansas State who has been here before. Don't like laying the points but the Red Wolves at home is what I see...
