The Auburn Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday in a SEC week 12 college football matchup.
The Auburn Tigers are one of the biggest upside surprises in college football this season and at 9-1 they control their own destiny both in the SEC West and in the bowl picture. While the task is difficult, the formula is simple that if Auburn wins out for the regular season, which would have to include a win over Alabama in the Iron Bowl, they go to the SEC Championship game and if they win that they go to a BCS Bowl. Nick Marshall doesn’t do everything well at QB but he has been getting it done completing 58.5 percent of his passes for 1,301 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions but he is an exceptional runner rushing for 734 yards and seven touchdowns. Tre Mason is having a monster year on the ground rushing for 1,038 yards and 16 touchdowns. Sammie Coates has 26 catches and five touchdowns and Marcus Davis and Ricardo Louis have 19 catches each. Cassanova McKinzy has 49 tackles, Robenson Therezie has four interceptions, and Dee Ford has seven sacks. The Auburn offense is averaging 38.6 points and 493.3 yards while defensively they are allowing 20.4 points and 394.4 yards per game.

The Georgia Bulldogs have had their share of ups and downs this season as it has been a combination of departures from last year’s team on defense and big injuries on offense. Georgia is 6-3 on the year but regardless of how they finish off the season they will fall short of their hopes. Aaron Murray has completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 2,477 yards with 20 touchdown passes and seven interceptions. Todd Gurley has been banged up this year but he is averaging 6.2 yards per carry for 625 yards and six touchdowns. Chris Conley leads the Georgia receivers with 30 catches and four touchdowns and Michael Bennett has 24 catches and three touchdowns. Ramik Wilson has 92 tackles, Amarlo Herrera has 79 tackles, and Ray Drew has 6.0 sacks. The Georgia offense averages 35.6 points and 478.6 yards while defensively they are allowing 28.8 points and 367 yards per game.
Auburn is 5-0 against the spread in their last five SEC games, 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games. Georgia is 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five SEC games, 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games. Georgia has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
Get out the calculator as we are going to see plenty of points here and I like the over as my free pick. I will also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as having it available on the App.
