The Wyoming Cowboys visit the blue turf of the Boise State Broncos in week 12 action.
Wyoming has not looked the same since their 42-21 loss at Texas State as the Cowboys have dropped three straight to fall to 4-5 and see their season in jeopardy. The biggest issue has been on the defensive side of the football where opponents have been lighting up the scoreboard. That trend continued in a 48-10 loss to visiting Fresno State but this time the offense also struggled. The Cowboys trailed 14-10 after 30 minutes but the wheels fell off in the final two quarters that saw the Bulldogs dominate 34-0. Fresno piled up 600 yards while the home team fell just short of 300. The rushing attack was Tedder Easton with 90 yards on six carries so the job of moving the chains fell to the usually dependable Brett Smith. Smith had a rare off night with an 18-32 effort for 141 yards with a TD and pick.

Boise State is still in the running for the Mountain Division crown of the MWC with one loss which ties them with Utah State who they have beaten. The Broncos rebounded from a loss to Brigham Young to out score Colorado State 42-30 as they headed in to their bye week. Despite the loss of Joe Southwick the Broncos were still able to post 437 yards thanks to back up Grant Hedick who looked like a veteran. Hedrick completed 19-27 for 305 yards and five touchdowns versus no interceptions with Matt Miller and Shane Williams-Rhodes combining for eleven catches for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Jay Ajayi gave the rushing game 91 yards on eleven carries while the defense survived the Rams 600 yard barrage...some how.
This isn't the Boise State team of years past and this isn't the same Wyoming squad from early in the season. Both are susceptable to me so I'd be cautious with this one...
