The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns travel to the Georgia State Panthers with the Sun Belt title in sight.
Red hot Lousiana-Lafayette can't afford to lose with the Sun Belt championship in their grasp and they haven't with seven consecutive victories following a 41 36 shootout win over visiting Troy. The Ragin' Cajuns didn't play well at times with a pick six but did return a punt 67 yards for a touchdown. ULL was solid on the ground with nearly 200 yards with Elijah McGuire leading the way with 83 yards on seven carries while Alonzo Harris and Terrance Broadway combined for 127 yards on 35 totes with the latter scoring twice. Broadway didn't put the ball in the air that much with an 8-13 effort for 185 yards but did connect for touchdowns of 36 yards and 65 yards. The defense did not play well with 469 yards allowed with the Trojans able to run and throw.

Georgia State has not had a year to remember with an 0-9 record with an offense that has not been able to score and a defense that has not gotten enough stops. The Panthers suffered defeat number nine in a 44-28 loss to visiting Western Kentucky with the Hilltoppers taking a 24-7 lead at the break and never being challenged. WKU won the yardage battle 444-410 with running and throwing ability while Georgia State was one dimensional with no running game to speak of. Jonathan Jean-Bart was the only source or ground yardage with 53 yards on ten totes so the job of moving the chains fell on the arm of Ronnie Bell. Bell did complete 26-41 for 325 yards with a pair of touchdowns and two picks.
Louisiana-Lafayette is the creme of the crop in the Sun Belt and if they get going they will destroy Georgia State. The Panthers are a pretty good cover team however and I'm inclined to take the points at home or the over...
