The San Diego State Aztecs make the long plane ride to face the Hawaii Warriors.
San Diego State is still in the running for the West Division title of the MWC but they definitely need to win their three remaining contests and hope somebody can knock off Fresno State. The Aztecs have won consective contests after knocking off San Jose State 34-30 on the road. the offense totaled 409 yards but did most of their damage in a 22 point fourth quarter. Both the run and poass were effective with Colin Lockett rambling for 90 yards on six totes and a score with Tim Vizzi ripping off 64 yards on two carries. Quinn Kaehler completed 18-31 for 245 yards with a pair of touchdowns and a pick and the defense made it stand up with ten second half points given up.

Hawaii has yet to win a game although they have given teams all they could handle at times. That was the case in a 42-28 loss at Navy which was a bit closer then the final score might have indicated. The Warriors outgained the Midshipmen 464-442 but could not stop the option which piled up 383 yards with Keenan Reynolds accounting for 226 yards and four touchdowns. UH enjoyed an explosive game on the ground as well with Joey Iosefa totaling 191 yards on 35 carries including a trip to the end zone. Sean Schroeder continued to be an effective passer by connecting on 29-33 for 246 yards and three touchdowns with Clark Evans hauling in nine receptions for 62 yards and two scores. The defense appeared to wear down in the second half where the Middies racked up 28 points.
San Diego State had better be ready to play because this won't be easy with Hawaii showing some offensive punch and the Aztecs vulnerable defensively. I'm simply going with the better team who has a ton to play for...
