The Northern Illinois Huskies travel to the Glass Bowl to face the Toledo Rockets with the MAC West title on the line.

Toledo doesn't have the 'name' power that Northern Illinois has but they are within a game of sharing the MAC West crown with a win over their rivals. However, the Rockets had to take care of business against Buffalo to set up this match up and did just that with a 51-41 victory over the Bulls. Toledo stormed to a 31-0 half time lead and held off a furious UB rally behind 551 yards of offense split evenly between the ground and air. No Doug Fluellen was not a problem with Kareem Hunt picking up the slack with a 31 carry, 186 yard performance with Damion Jones-Moore ripping off a 53 yard TD run and Ricky Pringle adding another 51 yards on four totes. Terrance Owens connected on 11-20 throws for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Even though UB totaled 600 yards but most came late and the Bulls ground game was a non factor.
This is the Huskies biggest test against a very good Toledo who steps up their game at home. I just believe the best player resides on the Northern Illinois side line and that's why I will back Lynch and crew...
