The Northern Illinois Huskies travel to the Glass Bowl to face the Toledo Rockets with the MAC West title on the line.
The Huskies enter the final two weeks of the regular season with the division title and an undefeated season on the line. Not to mention a top 20 ranking and possibly a BCS Bowl are also at stake for a conference that really isn't a big name in the football world. Jordan Lynch and crew stayed perfect with a 48-27 victory over Ball State behind a 21-0 4th quarter flurry. The Huskies offense came throuh with 569 yards with Lynch leading the way on the ground with 123 yards on 20 carries and a pair of scores. He was prolific through the air, completing 26-32 for 345 yards and two touchdowns with Da'Ron Brown grabbing eight passes for 209 yards and both TD's.

Toledo doesn't have the 'name' power that Northern Illinois has but they are within a game of sharing the MAC West crown with a win over their rivals. However, the Rockets had to take care of business against Buffalo to set up this match up and did just that with a 51-41 victory over the Bulls. Toledo stormed to a 31-0 half time lead and held off a furious UB rally behind 551 yards of offense split evenly between the ground and air. No Doug Fluellen was not a problem with Kareem Hunt picking up the slack with a 31 carry, 186 yard performance with Damion Jones-Moore ripping off a 53 yard TD run and Ricky Pringle adding another 51 yards on four totes. Terrance Owens connected on 11-20 throws for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Even though UB totaled 600 yards but most came late and the Bulls ground game was a non factor.
This is the Huskies biggest test against a very good Toledo who steps up their game at home. I just believe the best player resides on the Northern Illinois side line and that's why I will back Lynch and crew...
