The Arizona Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks face off on Saturday in Pac-12 college football action.
The Arizona Wildcats have had their highs and lows this season but overall they have experienced far more disappointment than they expected. Arizona is coming off of a loss against Washington State and they are looking at another season around .500. The Arizona offense is averaging 33 points and 452.5 yards per game. B.J. Denker has completed 59.7 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed for 709 yards and 11 touchdowns. Ka’Deem Carey has rushed for 1,353 yards with 12 touchdowns to pace the Arizona ground attack. Samajie Grant has 41 catches and Nate Phillips has 36 catches and six touchdowns. The Arizona defense allows 22.2 points and 387.9 yards per game and they have 13 interceptions. Scooby Wright and Marquis Flowers each have 70 tackles and Tra’Mayne Bondurant has four interceptions. A win over the Ducks would be a huge boost to how this season is viewed for the Cats.

The Oregon Ducks took a tough loss to Stanford a few weeks back but by the end of this past Saturday they once again controlled their own destiny at least as it relates tot eh Rose Bowl as they pounded Utah and Stanford fell to USC. The Oregon offense is averaging 50.9 points and 580.2 yards per game. Marcus Mariota has completed 64.2 percent of his passes with 25 touchdowns and no interceptions and he has rushed for 477 yards and nine touchdowns. Byron Marshall has rushed for 991 yards and 14 touchdowns, Thomas Tyner has 496 yards and 8 touchdowns, and DeAnthony Thomas has 410 yards and seven touchdowns. Bralon Addison has 47 receptions and Josh Huff has 45 catches and they have seven touchdowns each. The Oregon defense allows 18.2 points and 354.8 yards per game. Derrick Malone has 85 tackles, Tony Washington has 7.5 sacks, and Terrance Mitchell has five interceptions. The Ducks were hoping for bigger things this season but they have still had an outstanding year.
Arizona is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight Pac-12 games, 1-4 against the spread following a loss, and 1-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Oregon is 1202 against the spread in their last 14 road games, 1404 against the spread in their last 18 games, and 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 Pac-12 games.
The total is set at 67 and while it is a big number I have this one going over and that is my free pick. I also have a pick on who will cover this heft point spread and I will post my pick against the spread in the Premium Area.
