The Oregon State Beavers and the Washington Huskies battle it out on Saturday in a Pac-12 college football matchup of 6-4 teams.
The Oregon State Beavers had gone on a tear just about a month ago but since then they haven’t been able to do much right and have dropped three games in a row. The OSU offense is averaging 35.2 points and 465.8 yards per game leaning heavily on the pass. Sean Mannion has completed 67.8 percent of his passes for 33 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Terron Ward has rushed for 288 yards and Storm Woods has rished for 312 yards and each of them have four touchdowns. Brandin Cooks has 100 receptions and 14 touchdowns and Richard Mullaney has 46 receptions and three touchdowns. Defensively Oregon State has allowed 28 points and 387.8 yards per game. Tyrequel Zimmerman has 76 tackles, Jabral Johnson has 71 tackles, and Ryan Murphy has 52 tackles and three interceptions. Oregon State is already bowl eligible but they would like to hit the post season with some positive momentum.

The Washington Huskies got a few extras days of rest before this game but it comes because they played on Friday Night losing to UCLA. The Washington offense is averaging 36.6 points and 507.5 yards per game. Keith Price has completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 19 touchdowns and four interceptions but he was unable to finish last week’s game. Bishop Sankey controls the UW ground attack rushing for 1,396 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jaydon Mickens has 55 receptions and five touchdowns and Kevin Smith has 38 receptions and three touchdowns. Defensively Washington allows 23.7 points and 384.3 yards per game with 28 sacks. Princeton Fulimaono has 71 tackles, Shaq Thompson has 60 tackles, and Hau’oll Kikaha has 7 sacks. A lot more was expected of Washington than what they have to show for their record.
Oregon State is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Pac-12 games, 2-6 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games. Washington is 6-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 104 against the spread in their last five Pac-12 games, and 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record. Washington is 1-8 against the spread in the last eight meetings of these two teams.
The line for this one isn’t out yet because of the status of both of Washington’s QB’s but check back shortly after the line is released and I will update this with my free pick.
