The Texas El Paso Miners shoot for the road win versus the Tulane Green Wave.

Tulane looks to get back in to the win column after suffering back to back defeats that dropped them to 6-4 on the year. The concern for the Green Wave is getting their offense back on track following a 10-7 loss Texas-San Antonio which gave this unit 27 points in two games. Tulane is not a light the scoreboard up type of team and leans on their defense most of the time. The defense came through but the O totaled 348 yards with a lost fumble and a pair of interceptions with 14 penalties thrown in the mix. Orleans Darkwa gave the rushing attack some punch with 103 yards on 20 carries with the lone touchdown while Rob Kelley added another 41 yards. Nick Montana struggled in the air, completing 18-33 for 199 yards and two picks.

Tulane Green Wave vs. Texas El Paso Miners Pick-Odds-Prediction - 11/23/13

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Texas El Paso certainly had some high hopes entering 2013 but they have struggled mightily sticking the ball in the end zone while opponents haven't. The Miners turned both trends around in a 33-10 victory over Florida International in week 12. The defensive side of the ball played their best game of the season with only 200 yards allowed while also recording a safety. The offense took over from there with 407 yards, no turnovers and a potent rushing attack getting the job done. UTEP totaled 327 yards with over six yard average with Nathan Jeffery leading the way with 127 yards on 25 carries and two trips to the end zone while Blaire Sullivan was right on his heels with 104 yards on eight tries. Mack Leftwich only completd 3-7 for 80 yards but one was a 64 yard TD to Jordan Leslie.

Tulane doesn't blow teams out but they defend the run well and that's all the Miners can do. I am leaning to the points but I honestly get goose bumps backing either in this spot...
