The Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers face off for their final college football game of the 2013 regular season in a game labeled: The Civil War.
The Oregon Ducks are coming off one their worst losses in years, as they simply looked disinterested getting blown out at Arizona. It is clear Oregon’s loss to Stanford and the prospect of playing in the Rose Bowl hasn’t been enough to motivate the Ducks. Marcus Mariota has completed 64.4 percent of his passes with 27 touchdowns and two interceptions and he has rushed for another nine scores. Byron Marshall has 995 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns, Thomas Tyner has eight rushing touchdowns, and DeAnthony Thomas has seven touchdowns. Bralon Addison has 53 receptions and seven touchdowns and Josh Huff has 48 catches and eight touchdowns. Derrick Malone is Oregon’s leading tackler with 97 tackles, Ifa Ekpre-Olomu has 66 tackles, and Tony Mitchell has five interceptions. The Oregon offense is averaging47.7 points and 573.5 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 20.4 points and 366.4 yards per game. Oregon will look for some inspiration from the home crowd and from seeing their rivals on the other sideline.

The Oregon State Beavers had a strong start to their season but they have lost four games in a row including getting blown out last week against Washington. Sean Mannion has completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 4,089 yards with 34 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. The Oregon State rushing attack doesn’t see much action as Terron Ward has 322 yards and four touchdowns with 27 receptions and Storm Woods has 297 yards and four touchdowns and 41 receptions. Bradin Cooks has 100 receptions for 1,560 yards and 15 touchdowns Richard Mullaney has 48 catches and three touchdowns. Tyrequek Zimmerman is Oregon State’s leading tackler with 84, Scott Crichton has 6.5 sacks, and Steven Nelson and Rashaad Reynolds each have five interceptions. Oregon State’s offense is averaging 34.5 points and 461.1 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 31.7 points and 415.5 yards per game.
Oregon is 11-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five Pac-12 games. Oregon State is 12-3 against the spread following a double-digit home loss, 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, and 8-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. The road team is 6-0-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings of these two.
We have two teams who just haven't played inspired footbll recently and with the number at over three touchdowns in a rivalry game I am going to take the points.
