The Brigham Young Cougars look to end the season with a win at the Nevada Wolf Pack.
Brigham Young has dropped two of three heading in to the final game of the regular season and would like to end it with a win. The Cougars will have to shake off a sluggish performance against Notre Dame in which the offense struggled to find the end zone in 23-13 defeat. BYU totaled 415 yards and moved the ball at times on the ground which amassed 247 yards behind Taysom Hill with 101 yards on 24 carries with Paul Lasike running for another 101 yards on four totes. The passing game of Hill was a bit dicey as he connected on 21-36 for 168 yards and a touchdown and interception. The defense allowed 470 yards but kept the scoreboard manageable in abend but don't break performance.

For a team that won three of four to kick off the year not a whole lot has gone favorably since with a five game slide following the nice start. The Wolf Pack finally ended the bad times with a 38-16 victory over San Jose State although it's too late to save the season. The defense played their best four quarters in allowing 384 yards and preventing David Fales from lighting up the scoreboard. The Nevada attack totaled 482 yards and 25 first downs behind a strong running game that posted over 300 yards and averaged six yards per try. Cody Fajardo ran for a team high 104 yards and a score with Kendall Brock and Don Jackson combining for 165 yards on 28 carries and three TD's. Fajardo was on target in a short passing attack that saw him connect on 20-27 for 171 yards and a touchdown.
I am not a big fan of the spread because we never know what Hill is going to do in the air which is always a worry for me. I do think the Cougars defense can control Nevada and the run can produce but I'm not entirely comfortable...
