Pac-12 Championship Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Stanford Cardinal Pick, Odds, Prediction 12/7/13

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

The Stanford Cardinal had a few stumbles on the road this season but they worked their way past them and find themselves in the Pac-12 Championship. Stanford lost at Utah and USC but their win over Oregon was the difference maker and they already beat ASU this season as well. Kevin Hogan has completed 61 percent of his passes for 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions and he has two rushing touchdowns as well. Tyler Gaffney has rushed for 1,485 yards keying the Stanford offense. Ty Montgomery has 53 receptions and nine touchdowns and Devon Cajuste has 25 receptions and five touchdowns. Shayne Skov has 91 tackles and 4.5 sacks to lead the Cardinal, A.J. Tarpley has 80 tackles, and Trent Murphy has 13 sacks. Offensively Stanford averages 32.8 points and 404.4 yards per game while defensively they allow 19 points and 341.3 yards per game. Stanford as won their last two games and five of their last six.

Arizona State is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight Pac-12 games, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, and 2-6 against the spread in their last eight December games. Stanford is 19-6-1 against the spread in their last 26 road games, 6-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, and 35-17-1 against the spread in their last 53 Pac-12 games. Stanford are 1-3-1 against the spread against Arizona State.

There were 70 points scored in the first meeting of there two do with the total set nearly two touchdowns lower than that I see the over as a solid play. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread I will post in the Premium Area and I will also make available on the App.
