The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns finish off the regular season at the South Alabama Jaguars.

Louisiana-Lafayette might be the best team in the Sun Belt but they certainly didn't look the part in a 31-28 home loss in which they jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead. The Ragin' Cajuns held a seven point lead at the half but were out scored 17-7 in the final 30 minutes. The Warhawks led 471-394 in yardage but the visitors played mistake free football while ULL gave the ball away three times. More accurate was Terrance Broadway was intercepted three times on a 13-27 effort that produced 178 yards and a TD before Brooks Haack completed 10-14 for 126 yards and a touchdown in relief when Broadway broke his arm. Elijah McGuire led the backfield with 119 rushing yards on 14 carries but the run wasn't much of a threat late given the score.

South Alabama Jaguars vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin` Cajuns Pick-Odds-Prediction - 12/7/13

South Alabama looks to finish the regular season three consecutive victories to go 6-6 and become Bowl eligible. The Jaguars gave themselves a shot at the postseason with a 38-17 rout at Georgia State. The Panthers had been one of the best cover teams in the game but were dominated start to finish with USA racking up 522 yards behind equal ability to run or throw. The defense limited GSU to 345 yards while recovering a fumble and picking off a pair of passes which led to nearly 39 minutes of possession. Jay Jones rambled for 102 yards on 17 carries with two trips to the end zone with Ross Metheny tacking on another 50 yards. Metheny was much more of a factor throught the air with 280 and a score with Shavarez Smith grabbing ten balls for 194 yards.

UL Lafayette wins the Sun Belt outright with a win and South Alabama could go Bowling if they prevail. The Ragin' Cajuns likely win this but I'm leanig to the points for now...
