The Boise State Broncos and Mississippi Rebels take the field at the Georgia Dome in week one action.
If you have followed Boise State through the years they were the perfect underdog against the bigger names with Chris Peterson running the show. With Peterson off to Washington, the Broncos hired Bryan Harsin and his offensive mind to keep the program running at a high level. In 2013 Grant Hedrick picked up some valuable experience under center for BSU when Joe Southwick was hurt and was capable in all areas. The Broncos return their top two receivers in Matt Miller and Shane Williams-Rhodes while Jay Ajayi is back to lead the rushing attack but questions along both the offensive and defensive lines need to be answered.

Ole Miss was known for their strong play on defense in 2013 and with most of those same performers back the Rebels should once again be a force defensively. If so the success of Mississippi depends on what quarterback Bo Wallace and the offense can do. Wallace is a capable dual threat that has some weapons to lean on at the skill positions. Jaylen Walton and I'Tavius Mathers will share the workload in the Rebels rushing attack with the latter being more explosive while Walton is the second leading receiver back. The Ole Miss receiving unit needs a few players to step up with Laquon Treadwell and Vince Sanders two of the top candidates but this unit needs consistency as they faded towards the end of last season.
Boise State might not be the same team they once were but they certainly can't be ignored. I believe Ole Miss is the class of this match up and open the season with a big win...
