The MAC and the CUSA collide when the Bowling Green Falcons and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers meet at L.T. Smith Stadium.
Dino Babers inherits an experienced Bowling Green Falcons squad from Dave Clawson that has all the tools to grab another MAC championship. The Falcons are set at quarterback with Matt Johnson who proved to be a strong passer with some running ability. BGSU have to establish who are the go to receivers but there are options. Bowling Green will lean on Travis Greene on the ground and the experience on the offensive line so scoring points shouldn't be an issue. The Falcons defense needs to fill a few spots and we'll see how this unit fares in games before passing judgement but there is talent throughout so how they perform on the field will determine how much of the load the offense has to carry.

Former Louisville quarterback and current offensive coordinator Jeff Brohm takes over on the sideline for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers with the departure of Bobby Petrino. The Hilltoppers have been steadily improving over the last several years but 2014 will be interesting with the defense and their always solid running game full of questions especially with the move to the CUSA. WKY has Brandon Doughty under center for now but the passing game as a whole needs to step up with Antonio Andrews and a chunk of the offensive line gone which leaves a solid rushing attack needing to be retooled. With the Hilltoppers defense needing a slew of replacements Brohm has his work cut out for him on both sides of the ball.
I think Bowling Green has the weapons on offense to score points in this match up and I'm not sure the Hilltoppers do. I am leary of laying a TD to Western Kentucky at home but for now that's what I'm doing...
