The Southern Cal Trojans host instate rival the Fresno State Bulldogs in week one action.
The obvious question is how will Fresno State do without Derek Carr or more important what does Brandon Connett bring to the table. Unfortunately we have no idea until the Bulldogs take the field. With Fresno losing Isaiah Burse and Davante Adams and over 2,700 receiving yards the obvious question is whether Josh Harper and Greg Watson can carry the load. The Bulldogs rushing attack is set with Josh Quezada and Marteze Waller who have nearly identical numbers and can catch the ball out of the backfield. The line shouldn't be a weakness but the defense has a few pieces to replace on the defensive line and secondary.

The defense has plenty of experience so there is no reason not to see opponents struggling to score.
