The Tennessee Volunteers welcome the Utah State Aggies to town for the season opener for both squads.
The first thing Tennessee needs is to decide whether Justin Worley or Joshua Dobbs gives the team the best chance of winnning and my guess is Worley who is listed as the number one on the depth chart. With Rajion Neal gone at running back the Volunteers turn to second leading rusher Martin Lane who will need to almost double his 2013 output which is within grasp with an increase in carries. The Tennessee receiving corps returns virtually everyone that caught a pass a season ago so the skill positions are set but the huge worry is the O-Line lost everyone. The UT front seven lost plenty of talent as well so a decent defense from 2013 needs to find some bodies.

The buzz around the Utah State Aggies is the return from injury of star quarterback Chuckie Keeton who one of the best dual threats in the game. The Aggies get back running back Joe Hill who also missed half of 2013 with an injury. The Utah State passing game looks to Bruce Natson and Brandon Swindell as the top receiving options and one would think the return of Keeton will only enhance the production. A huge concern for USU is the lack of experience along the offensive line and whether this group will open holes for the rushing attack and keep Keeton upright in the passing game. The Aggies defense was a key in 2013 with Keeton hurt but the secondary has a few questions although the front seven should be fine.
I see plenty of Tennessee backers right now and they could be right but until I see the Volunteers play I have to back Keeton and Utah State with the touchdown who were not bad without their star a season ago...
